The Distance learning sub-project part of the EMPHIS project have is promiting education and training in Public Health through the potential offered by computing technologies, and this for the tree diseases who have been hold as examples : leishmaniosis, tuberculosis and nosocomial infections.
Tow group of peoples have been identified among the EMPHIS end
users
- The Public Health professionals
- The Public Health students
Both will not only fight against the diseases, also have or will have to comply the national Public Health programs. So they have to increase not only medicals knowledge and abilities but also management skills. From those objectives, two complementary pedagogical methods have been selected :
- knowledge acquisition Academics courses
- learning medical practices and management in a specific medical environment through targeted case study.
