The symposium intents to create awareness among the different participant Latin American countries and international organizations about Nosocomial Infections and their surveillance and control.
Objectives of the symposium:
1. To establish a streamline unifying Spanish/
Portuguese intra-hospitals infections information portal, a web site, as a standard epidemiology information publication system for the participant countries
2. To obtain from participant countries a four year finance support commitment to establish and maintain the web portal
3. To tailor feedback processes among relevant iinstitutions ans professionals to maintain the web site with current and updated information, including ongoing translation processes
